Position: Regional Business Development Manager – India

Location: Mumbai, India

Overview: As Qwiik.com expands the operations globally, you will oversee growing and managing the activities in the India region. You will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

What you will be doing:

  • Business growth: Identify and develop NEW customers leads (Shipping Lines, Shipping Agencies or Ports & Terminals) to reach Transactions and Revenue targets (set quarterly by CEO).
  • Nurture: Maximize existing customers' base to develop to their full potential within your region.
  • Post sales: Ensure the transition with Project & Delivery team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis with industry stakeholders to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ad 'hoc support: Including Admin, Legal, HR etc to ensure local compliant and efficient operations.

Desirable:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Managerial roles in the Shipping Industry with a solid track record in Sales and profitable business growth.
  • Industry knowledge: Proven experience in the NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) industry.
  • Market expertise: Deep understanding of the Shipping industry landscape and competitive dynamics, including Freight Forwarding and Agency Shipping operations.
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to develop and execute innovative growth strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Passion for innovation and a willingness to take calculated risks to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Global perspective: Exposure to international markets and a strong understanding of diverse cultural and market dynamics will be a plus.
